The Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) is a group led by state-regulators. It is a great resource for guidance and training on emerging environmental technologies. The general link to ITRC is here: www.itrcweb.org The Diffusion Sampler team within ITRC has done tremendous trailblazing for passive (no-purge) groundwater sampling. On the Diffusion Sampler team website, there is a very useful links section on passive sampling technology and efficacy testing. Go directly to the Diffusion Sampler team site here: www.diffusionsampler.org Of course, the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) has an extensive website with links for well owners and environmental professionals alike. NGWA publishes the scientific journal Ground Water and Ground Water Monitoring and Remediation. These journals a chocked full of important research on groundwater sampling. Go to the NGWA website here: www.ngwa.org USEPA's technology innovation program is also a great resource for emerging technology information. Go there: www.epa.gov/tio The US Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) also has a great site for information on proven and emerging technologies. Go there: www.afcee.brooks.af.mil/products/techtrans The US Navy National Environmental Technology Testing Sites (NETTS) in Port Hueneme, California, and Annapolis Maryland conduct useful trials that may be of interest to environmental professionals.
